The Pirates have once again welcomed a team dog to PNC Park and they need your help naming it.
Fans can pick from four names: Rookie, Bandit, Homer and Slugger. You can vote here. Voting is open from now through Saturday, May 4.
Along with PNC Banks and Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, the Pirates team dog will be trained in scent, mobility and socialization in public settings for 18 months and then will be paired with a military veteran in need around the Pittsburgh area.
“The engagement with fans will expose the pup to the socialization needed to become a service dog,” the Pirates said in a release.
