According to reports, the Pirates are goint to send infielder Rodolfo Castro to Philadelphia for pitcher Bailey Falter.
Falter is a 26-year-old lefty who is currently 0-7 this season with a 5.13 ERA. He’s appeared in eight games and started in seven.
He’s given up 23 earned runs over 40.1 innings.
Castro is batting .228 with 22 RBI over 78 games. He has an OPS of .672.
The Pirates need pitching, so Falter can eat some innings for the Pirates.
