PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – The comparison may be to watching your kids be a part of something you were as a child, whatever that might be. Where it's harder to watch than actually participate. That's where Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi is waiting for his former players to be selected in the NFL Draft.
"It's just a tough process," Narduzzi said. "I think it's tougher on our kids obviously that it is on me for sure. Nobody is going to feel sorry for me having to deal with the stress of when are they going to get drafted. Why did that guy get drafted? Our guy is better than that guy."
"People talk about it's going to be this round, that round. No one really knows. I'm not really a big draft guy. I'm going to watch it because I want to see where my guys are going."
The draft resumes with the second round Friday at 7p after only six players from the ACC went in the first round.
"It's a tough day for everybody," Narduzzi said. "I don't think I've ever been to one and wondered why it happened like that. I will go back to Dane Jackson. I still can't believe what round he was drafted in (7th). You sit there glued to a TV thinking it's going to be fifth round, then your going sixth, then it's seventh and you're going 'how the heck is this happening'."
A number of former Panthers likely will get their name called Friday or Saturday. We've done stories over the month about their chances.

Several others including DJ Turner, Alex Kessman and Bryce Hargrove who may be late rounders, but should get a workout opportunity.
"I'm excited for our kids," Narduzzi said. "All they wanted was an opportunity. They are all going to have an opportunity to play in the league. We got some great football players. There will be some free agents out there as well. I'm excited for them and the opportunities that will come."
