Before he left with his own injury, Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was involved in the tackle that ended Browns running back Nick Chubb’s season.

That prompted users on X/Twitter to speculate Fitzpatrick intended to injure Chubb.

The injury was so bad, they didn’t replay in the injury on television.

You have to feel for Chubb, one of the best backs in the NFL and from all reports, an all-around good guy.

But, Fitzpatrick didn’t try to injure Chubb.

Social media users can grab a screenshot or slow down the video of the tackle like it’s the JFL Zapruder film, but that doesn’t tell the real story.

The game moves so fast now. There are likely penalties on almost every play and the threat of injury is always there.

Fitzpatrick was just trying to take out Chubb’s leg and make the tackle.

You can’t tackle high, you may go helmet-to-helmet and now you can’t tackle low? Where are you supposed to tackle someone?

Former Steelers safety Ryan Clark expressed his frustration with the softening of the game.
