A year ago, Steelers defensive captain Cam Heyward was doing what he could to recruit Russell Wilson to the Steelers.
Brooke Pryor talks to Joe about 'exhausted' Steelers
This year, with the possibility of Aaron Rodgers coming to Pittsburgh, Heyward isn’t as involved.
Talking on his Not Just Football podcast, Heyward said he’s not going out of his way to get Rodgers.
“Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don’t,” said Heyward.”
ESPN’s Steelers report Brooke Pryor tells Joe Starkey this is a Cam Heyward and Steelers team that is “exhausted.”
“I’m just trying to think of any possible explanation other than Cam Heyward is just really tired of the end of his career being defined by this question mark at quarterback,” said Pryor. “This, to me, is a reflection of the angst in the locker room, toward the organization and toward the decision makers for how this quarterback situation has played out.”
To Pryor, someone like Heyward he’s frustrated and it’s showing because the Steelers wanted Justin Fields and he left for the Jets and their plan B of Aaron Rodgers isn’t going well, currently.
