So many of the Steelers contributed to Sunday's big upset win against the Bills in Buffalo. So, who should get the game ball?
Well, according to Good Morning Football's Peter Schrager, it's not a player but a coach. Mike Tomlin.
"Takes his boys from Pittsburgh, who everyone's doubting, they go into Buffalo, who everybody with a pulse putting in the Super Bowl and just saying, 'alright, yeah, yeah, yeah, the Bills are the best team when they're at home and guess what we jump through tables and the whole thing' and there's Tomlin smirking because guess what you gotta actually win these games, and the Steelers know how to do it."
Tomlin spoke about his defense's play after the game.
"We just played Steeler D," said Tomlin. "We respect Josh Allen; we respect their group. They're a challenging group. But I have an expectation that our defensive unit is going to be in every football game like that. I'm just being bluntly honest with you."
With T.J. Watt not practicing all Training Camp while in contract talks and the Steelers losing key pieces at cornerback and the loss of Bud Dupree, there were some question marks heading into the game, but Cam Heyward and the rest of the D quickly answered those.
"The Steelers bullied the Bills in their building. The D pushed them around and make everyone's MVP look rudderless," added Schrager. "Pittsburgh came to play, and silenced a few folks in doing so."
The defense as a unit finished the day with 74 total tackles and three sacks (two from Watt, one from Heyward).
