Should the Steelers bench George Pickens?

Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson faced criticism earlier the season for giving up on a play after Jaylen Warren fumbled the ball against the Bengals.

He apologized to teammates and to fans after the incident.

On Sunday, we saw George Pickens seemingly giving up on a play against the Colts.

Again, it was Warren with the ball who ran into Colts players near the endzone.

As Warren was running, Pickett gave no attempt to stop Colts cornerback Jaylon Jones from tackling Warren.

While he was already on his way down, Jones may have stopped Warren from getting into the endzone.

"I was just trying to prevent the Tank Dell situation," Pickens said after practice on Tuesday. "I ain't want to get an injury. When you stay on the block too low, you can get ran up on very easily."

Dell broke his left fibula a couple weeks ago after he was rolled up during a play that saw Texans running back Dameon Pierce score a Houston touchdown.

Pickens was known for his strong blocking his rookie year, but seems to have lost interest with his growing frustrations.

Johnson spoke on how they should be treating Pickens in the story below.

To show you where their head space is with Johnson and Pickens, Diontae posted a photo of his touchdown on Sunday, a 30-13 blowout to Indy.

Pickens reposted it to his social media.

Doesn't seem like a team-first mentality.

Maybe it's just too much frustration for the receiving duo that have seen wide open opportunities ignored, bad passes and more.
