PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – As the Steelers released corner Ahkello Witherspoon, they do add more depth in another position on Wednesday.

Steelers announce they've signed defensive end Manny Jones off waivers from Arizona. The 6'4" Jones had six tackles in four regular-season games for the Cardinals last year after being elevated from the practice squad.

Jones was a three-time All-Mountain West defense end and defensive tackle at Colorado State. He had 181 tackles (86 solo) over 50 games with the Rams including 33 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two passes defensed, a fumble recovery and an interception.

Jones fills the depth spot on the defensive line after Renell Wren was put on season-ending injured reserve. Steelers OTA begin on Tuesday.
