Depending an appeal, Steelers safety Damontae Kazee has been suspended for the rest of the season, following his helmet-to-helmet hit on Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr.

Pittman left the game in concussion protocol.

It was a second-and-eight pass from Gardner Minshew to Pittman and as he was diving to make the catch, Kazee left his feet and hit Pittman in the head/shoulder area, which led to the receiver going into concussion protocol. An immediate 15-yard personal foul and ejection for the Steelers safety in the game.

That will cost him an estimated $208,000.

Retired Patriots/Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady gave his two sense, responding to a post from ESPN’s SportCenter account on Instagram.

Brady says the blame should be on the quarterback Gardner Minshew.

His full comments:

Nobody likes seeing players get hurt.
But hard hits happen. QBs should not be throwing the ball in areas where they are exposing their own teammates to these types of hits. Coaches need to coach better, QBs needs to read coverages and throw the ball to the right places and defenders should aim for the right hitting areas. To put the blame on the defense player all the time is just flat out wrong. Need better QB play!! It’s not OK QBs to get your WRs hit because of your bad decisions!

Brady has been highly critical of the current NFL product, saying there is “a lot of mediocrity” in today’s game.

With so many teams hovering around .500, he might not be wrong.
