Xavier Becerra has been a congressman, California’s attorney general, and Biden's health and human services secretary. Now, he wants to be governor of California.

Becerra said if he’s elected, he will be the “healthcare governor.”

“I've had to run the largest health enterprise in the world, the Department of Health and Human Services, and I know where the bones are buried,” he told Mike Simpson. “And so we can make healthcare work much better, even with the $1 trillion cut that Donald Trump pushed through in his ugly bill. We'll still do healthcare better.”

Becerra also weighed in on the hospice fraud investigations happening in California. He said that while there is hospice fraud, he wants to know why those in the Trump administration who are investigating it aren’t “going to the red states.”

“The fraud is occurring in California and every other one of the 49 states,” he said.
