Gas prices are climbing again across California, and it’s hitting drivers hard.

According to AAA, the average price of regular gas is $6.01, while mid-grade is $6.23, premium is $6.42, and diesel is $7.483.

KNX News’ Nataly Tavidian spoke with a chauffeur who was filling up his Suburban. He said a full tank of gas costs him around $150.

“You spend a lot, and every day you spend more,” he said.

He said he’s trying to balance rising costs with keeping customers, so he’s often covering the difference himself.

“We try to not charge too much, so we have to raise the prices, right?” he said. “But we cannot do too much because if not, the customers can get upset.”

Another man who drives for work said the smaller stops to fill up are hitting harder. Now, he’s all about finding the best price wherever he can.

“We have to have competitive prices and try to always look for the cheapest gasoline, but we cannot do the lowest quality,” he said.

He said he’s crossing his fingers that prices don’t reach $7 to $8.
