Meet Mike De La Torre of the Jelly of the Month Club Band!
No, it's not a subscription-based jelly delivery service. Jelly of the Month Club Band is a collective of creative rock n rollers who aim to inspire and educate kids of all ages through music!
Using "humorous stories, educational messages, and universal values," this group of incredible musicians aim to introduce music to developing minds through their original compositions.
Mike, the lead singer, says a lot of the content is centered around life lessons, teamwork, kindness, and celebrating our differences.
The Jelly Club has played children's hospitals, elementary schools, baseball games, luxury resorts, and amusement parks across the country.
If you get the chance to see them live, you might be lucky enough to catch a famous musician sitting in on the session—the Jelly Band has been known to attract some big names to join them on stage.
But if you can't make it to a show, no worries! You and the kids can check out their YouTube channel for all the family-friendly content.
Mike says it best in his conversation with KNX reporter Heather Jordan, "it's just good, clean fun."
