Long Beach City Council gave final approval Tuesday for new rules for street vendors in the city.

Street vending in Long Beach is still allowed under the ordinance, but there are some restrictions like not being able to do it on the coastal zone. There are also permits and licenses that vendors will have to obtain that will cost up to $730.

The new rules will now go to Mayor Rex Richardson for his signature to legalize the ordinance.

These rules will go into effect 31 days after he signs, according to the Long Beach Press-Telegram.
