LONG BEACH (KNX) - The Aquarium of the Pacific's latest addition is otter-ly adorable!

The aquarium announced Wednesday that it welcomed a four-month-old sea otter pup.
Officials said the otter pup was rescued in Carmel-by-the-Sea in April when he was found without his mom. He was believed to be three weeks old at the time.
“After the pup’s rescue, he was taken to Monterey Bay Aquarium where staff attempted to pair him with a surrogate mother in the hopes of one day returning him to the wild,” the Aquarium said.
“However, this pairing was ultimately not successful, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service deemed the pup non-releasable.”
The Aquarium of the Pacific is seeking the public’s help in naming the new sea otter pup and using its Adopt an Animal program to do so. To learn more, click here.
If your suggestion is chosen, you will be invited to attend a feeding and training session at the Aquarium of the Pacific.
