A small protest was held at the UCLA School of Law during an event in which Homeland Security General Counsel James Percival spoke with students.
Roy Molina, a second-year student at UCLA, told KNX News’ Emily Valdez that the school’s conservative students invited Pecival to speak and that the Q&A portion is “already pre-written.”
“I'm disappointed because a lot of us are Latinos, Latinas,” he said. “There's a lot here at UCLA and at the law school, like me. We have international students, LLM students, and for a person who doesn't believe in judicial warrants and the Fourth Amendment, it's very disappointing.”
Valdez reported that there were extra police and Secret Service at the campus, but no sign of any ICE agents.
