It was a women's/men's doubleheader sweep on Wednesday evening for the Butler Community College basketball teams at the Power Plant in El Dorado.
In the women's game, a matchup of undefeated teams, 25th-ranked Butler defeated 11th-ranked Hutchinson 56-50. Butler improved to 4-0 with the win; Hutchinson fell to 3-1.
In the men's game, Hutchinson had an 18-point lead late in the first half; the Blue Dragons still had a 10-point lead with about three minutes to play. But Butler went on an 11-0 run to finish the game, for a 66-65 win. The Grizzlies are now 3-1 overall, and 3-0 on home court in El Dorado.
Dennis Higgins had live play-by-play of the men's game on 97.5 & 1240 KFH. Butler's next radio appearance will be Saturday at 7:30 p.m., as the Grizzlies visit the Beaver Dome in Pratt.
