The Chiefs' 2021 turnaround has already been well-documented, and with the team cruising on their way to another AFC West title and the conference's #1 overall seed, they've officially gone from 3-4 to Super Bowl favorites. It's as dramatic a turnaround as you'll see in the NFL, but on Tuesday's Fescoe In The Morning, Chiefs Insider Pete Sweeney explained how the seven-game win streak really comes down to one simple change.
"I just think it's complimentary football," he said. "I really do. I think for a long time, it was a defense-driven win streak. And I think what you're getting now is the offense finally coming back. That was one thing I think you can stay positive about -- if there was an aspect of the team that really needed to be proven, it was the defense.
"The defense has been outstanding. They've been one of the better units in the league from about game four or five on. And now you're finally seeing the offense come back."
