The #16 Kansas Men's Basketball team was hosting #8 Iowa State on a Monday night in Lawrence. The Jayhawks took control early and clamped down defensively, leading 35-19 at halftime. And KU kept the defensive pressure up, holding Iowa State to just 3-for-21 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc.
Zeke Mayo scored 17 points to lead the 'Hawks and Hunter Dickinson added 14 points and nine rebounds. KU got a 69-52 win over #8 Iowa State. Next up for KU, this year's second matchup with K-State. The second half of the Sunflower Showdown, Saturday in Manhattan.
