After a sloppy first half of basketball where neither team was shooting better than 40%, Wichita State was leading #24 Memphis at halftime 27-23. The Shockers and Tigers combined to go 5 for 20 from beyond the 3-point line in that first half.

It was back and forth throughout the game, until the final 5 minutes.  Memphis scored 12 straight in the final minutes and got the 61-53 win.  The Shockers dropped to 11-8, 1-5 in the AAC.  Harlond Beverly led Wichita in scoring with 18. Xavier Bell spent much of the game in foul trouble and the Tigers held the Shockers' leading scorer, scoreless.

Next up for WSU, a trip to Tulsa on Sunday to face the Golden Hurricane.
