Shockers score road win at Charlotte

Wichita State snapped a four-game losing streak with a 66-58 road win at Charlotte Tuesday night in Halton Arena. Its the Shockers first road win since the season opener at Western Kentucky on Nov. 4.

The Shockers were down a pair of starters in Justin Hill and Harlond Beverly who both missed the game with injuries. Corey Washington led the way with a double double 21 points and 10 rebounds. Quincy Ballard added 12 points and 13 rebounds. Wichita State shot 52.9 percent from the floor and held Charlotte to 36.2 percent.

On the down side, Shockers finished 2-for-12 from three. Charlotte made seven from deep, but that was only 7-for-28. The WSU Men improve to 12-10, 2-7 in the AAC. Next up for the Shockers, a road matchup at South Florida on Super Bowl Sunday.
