AMC Theaters will begin to reopen as early as next week.
The movie theater chain announced that some locations will reopen on August 20th. The reopening comes with new health and safety procedures like wearing a mask, cashless transactions, social distancing, and limited capacity within the theater.
The initial wave of openings will do so with a special promotion of "movies in 2020 at 1920 prices" meaning ticket prices will be 15 cents.
AMC has a list of all locations and when they are expected to open. Unfortunately for California theaters a reopening date isn't listed, instead it mentions waiting for "local guidelines" to reopen.
