When 2020 began a lot of people used it as a clean slate, so they could kick off the new decade with new dreams and goals and as the year went on it's not hardly what anyone would have imagined.

In fact, as we stand now we're in unchartered territory as the world continues to combat the coronavirus. Since the pandemic, schools have closed, friends are only seen virtually, and a face mask is the new must have accessory. As the world continues to change, so do we, we've learned to adapt and adjust on our way to a "new normal".

The coronavirus robbed the Class of 2020 from some special senior moments, like graduation. Instead of sitting with hundreds of your high school classmates waiting for your name to be called and being given your diploma cover, graduates are now participating in drive up graduation ceremonies. Ceremonies that they as a student body fought to have to salvage what was left of their last high school year.

Chaffey Joint Union High School District Superintendent Mathew Holton told the Wake Up Call about this special graduating class and why it was so important for the union to give them a graduation experience. He also had some words of encouragement for the Class of 2020.
