The House of Blues Anaheim was awash in pink Wednesday night (November 5th) as Alexandra Kay took the stage, wrapped in "feminine energy" and a lush, floral, fairy-tale backdrop. Her “Second Wind” tour leans heavily on songs from her sophomore album, and she shared that the title track was the first she wrote with her guitarist and partner, Rocko, after they got together. Standout moments included her heartfelt tribute to him, “What He Does,” and “Tomorrow Problems,” where she invited opener Logan Crosby back out for a crowd-pleasing duet. She didn’t leave longtime fans behind, either—mixing in earlier favorites like “Everleave,” “Skip This Part,” and “She Stayed,” the last of which had best friends in the audience wrapping each other in tight, emotional hugs.
