An ongoing live webcam of a pair of Bald Eagles at Big Bear Lake has captured the attention of the world's attention, especially as they await the birth of two eaglets.
The pair - named Jackie and Shadow - have been taking turns protecting the incubating eggs, ever since the eggs were laid on February 8th and February 11th.
According to Friends of Big Bear Valley, which installed the Eagle Cam, "Pip Watch" starts on Monday, March 15th. A pip is the first break in the shell of an egg.
Today's snowy weather in Big Bear made for a particularly majestic sight on the webcam as the devoted parents shield their precious eggs from the cold. Check out 12:31:45 from today (March 11th) to see Shadow fly in to bring Jackie a tasty fish lunch.
