An alarming 22% of young children in America live in poverty, and the financial challenges of providing for a family continue to grow, due to the increased costs of gasoline, food, and housing. KidCare International in Claremont has operated a food bank distributing food to needy residents and households of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties for over 20 years. Regan Schmalz, President of KidCare International, and Sylvia Sconyers, Director of the Food Bank, discuss KidCare's domestic and foreign programs.
