Before the pandemic threw a wrench in everyone's plans, Thomas Rhett was gearing up for his "Center Point Road Tour," which was selling out across the country. He was also set to headline Stagecoach 2020, along with Carrie Underwood and Eric Church, so it was only a matter of time before he was going to have to start thinking about a stadium tour.
"That's the plan," says the ACM Co-Entertainer of the Year in a statement from his label. He also remembers being a support act for Kenny Chesney on his 2018 "Trip Around the Sun" stadium tour, during which he learned a lot from the headliner. "I mean, I think it would be the sickest thing in the world to be able to do those stadiums the way that Kenny does them.
"And I feel like I got to learn from the best getting to watch Kenny. He took me to school, man, and it was a fun summer and I feel like I learned so much about what it takes to, you know, hopefully do that one day."
Thomas Rhett anticipates that his "Center Point Road" Tour will finally take place this summer.
