Summer for Heavy Metal fans means music festivals, sweaty mosh pits, and horns in the air. Last year, our gatherings were robbed from us by COVID. This year, we have science.

Judas Priest singer Rob Halford is the latest in a long line of celebrities, artists, and influencers to use their platform in order to promote mass-vaccination so fans and bands can return to some sort of live music normalcy amid the pandemic.

Captioning his "shout out" to fans for getting their COVID-19 vaccines on his social media accounts "all for one, one for all,” the Metal God hath spoken with the glorious aim of quickly getting us all back to "those amazing vibes and feelings" that live music brings. "One thing we’re proud about in metal is that we not only stand together united for our music," he says, "but also for each other."

Rob continued with a plea for all those who have not yet received the vaccine "that will eventually eradicate COVID-19 around the world" to learn more via MadeToSave.org. "You know, common sense states that by having the jab," Halford continued, "we’re opening up one of the most important areas that we have so desperately missed, which is being side by side, horns way up at clubs, theaters, arenas and festivals where who we are and what we live for is tangible and real with the bands we love. So let’s get those amazing vibes and feelings back faster. I urge those of us who have not yet been vaccinated to please step up. Judas Priest and all bands everywhere are made complete by playing live for our fans."

Country bada** Eric Church is on the cover of Billboard magazine this month showing himself getting vaccinated, and speaks of doing his part to "get needles in arms" in order for the world to more quickly return to a new normal.

As scheduled tours continue to be pushed to future dates, artists across the musical spectrum -- from Dolly Parton to TOOL singer Maynard James Keenan -- have been 'stepping up' as Halford says above to bring more awareness to the vaccine. As the shot becomes more widely available in the coming weeks with 1-in-4 Americans currently vaccinated, now may be good time to do some research for yourself and consider joining the team for the big win.
