Wendy’s may be a burger chain, but the home of the Frosty has a refreshing trick up its sleeve for fast food lovers who may be in the market for a cooler entrée this summer.

The summer strawberry chicken salad, a fan favorite, has made its way back onto the menu for a limited time at Wendy’s restaurants nationwide for $6.99.
The salad features hand-picked strawberries, a savory Tuscan cheese blend, grilled chicken, praline almonds, and Applewood smoked bacon, the lettuce and spring mix salad, all topped with champagne vinaigrette.
It “packs unbeatable and seasonally relevant flavors so fans can not only have a salad they feel good about eating, but one that doesn't sacrifice fresh, craveable flavors or cost a fortune," said John Li, Vice President of Culinary Innovation for The Wendy's Company.

That’s not the only freebie you can get from the fast food chain this summer: every Friday this month you can get a free Frosty if you order through the drive-thru or mobile app, with no minimum purchase necessary.
