
Chocolate still reigns supreme during Halloween.
A survey by RetailMeNot asked 1,066 adults across the U.S. to list their favorite Halloween candies and the results were dominated by different types of chocolate.

M&M’s narrowly took the top spot with 55% of the vote, just edging Reese’s which was named by 54% of survey-takers.
Those two candies were followed by more chocolates – Kit Kat (50%), Snickers (44%) and Twix (42%).
The most popular non-chocolate product were Skittles at 29%, which nudged past Candy Corn at 28%.
In addition, 48% of women said they preferred Hershey's bars - even though the chocolate didn’t finish as one of the top candies overall.
Other interesting data revealed by the survey showed than younger generations – Gen Z and Millennials – prefer lollipops over older generations – Gen X, Baby Boomers and Seniors.
