Gasoline prices on the way back up

Gas prices rising as states ease coronavirus restrictions

ST. LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - U.S. gasoline prices are up for the second week in a row. 

Analysts say demand for gasoline is rebounding as states start to reopen.

GasBuddy.com reports demand rose 5% in the last week.

GasBuddy data show the national average price of regular unleaded is $1.83 a gallon,  up more than 6 cents from last week. 

Crude oil prices are up $5 a barrel.  

The average price for a gallon of gas in Illinois - $2.13.  In Missouri - $1.51.
