CLAYTON, MO (KMOX) - Prosecutors have charged a 20-year-old woman in connection with a recent Steak N' Shake drive-thru murder.

Jada Bell faces charges of 1st Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action, Assault 1st Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon in the death of 32-year-old Chauncia Meekins.

The shooting occurred in early April at a Steak N' Shake in the 11000 block of Bellefontaine Road.

Investigators say Bell had a dispute with workers over her order and threw a drink at Meekins who was working at the drive-thru window. Meekins reportedly threw the drink back at Bell, who police say shot Meekins with a handgun several times. A second victim was shot in the hand during the dispute.

Bell is held on $1 million, cash-only bond.
