POLICE: 15-year-old shot, killed in North St. Louis County home

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) updated with victim's named A 15-year-old was shot and killed at the 10300 block of Ross Circle in North County early this morning.  

Police have identified the victim as Antione Brown Jr. of north St. Louis County.

Officers responded to a call at approximately 5:39 a.m., and they tried to revive the teen, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was in his home at the time when shots were fired through the residence.

Police are still looking for the shooter.

St. Louis County Police spokesman Benjamin Granda said, "it does not appear to be a random act." The boy's name hasn't been released.

The investigation is being led by the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and remains very active at this time.

The City of St. Louis has seen 11 child homicides this year, and two other child deaths are being investigated as "suspicious.'' St. Louis County has reported three child homicides in 2019.
