ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson cited a jump in hospital admissions related to COVID-19 and the trend of more young people being infected with the virus as reasons for new restrictions in the city.
Starting Thursday, all bars, restaurants and nightclubs will have to limit their capacity to 50% of their permitted occupancy and must close by 11:00 p.m. nightly.
The order will be in place until at least Sept. 7.
The state health department reported Tuesday that Missouri has confirmed 981 more cases in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s tally to 60,935.
