ST. LOUIS (KMOX) updated at 1:15 p.m.— The worst of Friday afternoon's severe thunderstorms have pushed through downtown St. Louis and off to the southeast.
Line of storms may continue to pose a risk for isolated damaging wind gusts as it moves across southern Illinois and eventually into southwest Indiana this afternoon. The storms could bring scattered damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph, with isolated large hail and a tornado or two possible.
The St. Louis metro area is under an
enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon with a primary threat of damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornados.
