NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal will DJ event during Mardi Gras in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - One of the most dominant centers in NBA history will be part of the massive Mardi Gras celebration in St. Louis next month. Shaquille O’Neal – a.k.a. DJ Diesel – will take over the Effen Tent at Social House Soulard on Feb. 26.

He'll be jamming at the ticketed event on 7th Street throughout the Mardi Gras parade in Soulard that day.

The EFFEN Tent event featuring SHAQ - Dj Diesel runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. inside a heated tent along the parade route. Tickets cost $85 and include an all-inclusive premium open bar, with VIP packages available at eventbrite.com.

The 7'1" and 325 pound NBA Hall of Famer is the world's only athlete with a platinum-selling album and he debuted as DJ Diesel at TomorrowWorld musis festival in 2015. "The biggest DJ in the world" even launched his own festival series -- Shaq's Fun House.

The annual Mardi Gras parade in St. Louis, which starts at Busch Stadium in downtown and ends in Soulard, is knowns as the second-largest Mardi Gras party in the U.S., behind only New Orleans. It was a virtual event last year due to the pandemic.
