ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX) - Three people died and four others were hurt in a multi-vehicle wreck in St. Louis County Sunday night. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it was caused by a vehicle that was speeding.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. on Interstate 270 near West Florissant Road. A crash report states a Lexus IS-250 was driving too fast when it lost control and slid into a Kia Sorento and GMC Acadia. All the vehicles were traveling east on I-270.
After hitting the other vehicles, the Lexus went off the side of the road, started to roll and then struck a chain link fence and came to a stop near Pershall Road. Three passengers inside the Lexus died – all three were not wearing seatbelt, according to the report.
Kenrick Smalling, 24, of St. Louis was the driver of the Lexus and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers, Dion Martin, 24, and Aliyah Tatum, 21, were rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Four others injured in the crash include a 7-year-old and 13-year-old.
