ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Adam Wainwright first year of retirement from professional baseball is going to look awfully busy.
On Wednesday night, Wainwright announced that he will perform at World Wide Technology Raceway in June as part of the NASCAR Race Weekend festivities when the stock car circuit makes it visit to the St. Louis-area.
The NASCAR Confluence Music Festival will feature performances by Wainwright, rapper Ludacris, country music artist Riley Green and more.
This will be Wainwright second performance as a musician, with Wainwright notably performing a concert at Busch Stadium in September 2023 during the team's final series of the 2023 season against rivals Cincinnati Reds. The concert had him perform three songs from his debut album, which will be released on Feb. 23.
Wainwright summer is starting to look awfully busy. Alongside the concert at Worldwide Technology Raceway, Wainwright will venture into broadcasting for a full-time basis as he joins FOX Sports as a MLB analyst.
Among his assignments will include a trip across the pond to England again for the second consecutive year as he will call the first game of the 2024 MLB World Tour: London Series matchup between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets on Saturday, June 8, a week after the performance.
The series will be played at English Premier League side West Ham United's home ground, the London Stadium.
