Downtown St. Louis restaurants represent every continent but Antarctica, according to Greater St. Louis, Inc's Chief Downtown Officer Kurt Weigle. And people will have a perfect opportunity to explore them during Downtown Restaurant Week, which runs through October 20.

Ono Ikanone owns Levels Nigerian restaurant on Washington Avenue and wants people to know, "The water is not just fine in downtown St. Louis, it's delicious."

In fact, Ikanone is planning an expansion of sorts in his building, with an art gallery, third floor lounge and arts institute.

The kickoff for Downtown Restaurant Week was held at Greater St. Louis, Inc's offices in the Met Square building. A number of participating chefs displayed samples of their offerings.
