ST. LOUIS - For the past week, KMOX has looked back at the Great Floods of 1993, one of the most devastating floods in American history.

KMOX has looked back at how the flood caused many issues in the St. Louis-area, but also how the floods helped strengthen a community.

On the 30th anniversary of the floods, KMOX looks back at the flood, and how the lesson and technology has changed and improved to help the response for future natural disasters.

Earlier in the week, KMOX had three meteorologists to talk about how weather forecasting has significantly changed in the last 30 years, but weather forecasting isn't the only thing that has changed in three decades.

KMOX continues looking back at the Great Floods of 1993 with a look at how the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers responded to the floods around the Midwest around the time.

After looking back, David Busse, a Levee Safety Officer of the Chief Engineering and Construction Division in the US Army Corps of Engineers joined Total Information A.M. in studio to talk about the lesson's learned from the flood of 1993 and how the flood helped give valuable lessons for the future.
