A team of St Louis University Pilots compete this week in an historic, all-female, Air Race Classic.
The all-women teams will fly 25-hundred miles over four days. St. Louis University Pilot Sydney Nimerick says even the planning has been fun.
"It's been really nice to get to meet the different collegiate teams and learn about the other women who will be kind of with us throughout our career."
Her teammates are: fellow graduate Jocelyn Ciotti (JOHS-ih-lin) (see-AH-tee) and Sophomore Bella Castro. The race starts from the St. Louis Regional Airport, flies over nine states, and ends in Mount Vernon, Illinois. SOC.
The air race (which dates back nearly 100 years) begins Tuesday, June 23rd, and ends Friday, June 26th.
