GRANITE CITY, Ill. (KMOX) - A man has been charged with two counts of aggravated driving while under the influence causing death after his truck ended up in a Metro East home, killing a woman inside.
Granite City Police Department announced Jonathan M. Beasley, 47, of Granite City was charged for the incident that happened late Monday night.
The victim, 73-year-old Virginia Ann Ohren was sitting in her EasyChair, eating oatmeal and an orange when the truck entered her home around 10 p.m. They say the food was found in the truck's grill.
Beasley was arrested on the scene. He's currently being held at the Granite City Police Department on a $200,000 bond.
