How many people would like to go camping, if only they had the gear? A new gear lending library makes the equipment far more accessible. The cost? It's free. For real?
"Absolutely," says Rebecca Weaver of River City Outdoors. "Free-ninety nine!"
Hear Debbie Monterrey's interview and walk-thru with Weaver:
"One of the common barriers we see when it comes to getting kids and families outside is the availability and access to quality gear," says Weaver, Director of RCO. "We are committed to increasing equitable access to outdoor recreation in the region, and this resource will help make experiencing the outdoors more accessible to hundreds of people and partners."

The gear lending library has plenty of camping equipment as well as hiking and paddling gear. They're also working on bikepacking.
The lending library just launched and does not have the capacity to loan items to individuals, so while in their pilot phase, they're looking to partner with groups.
