ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - About 15 total tankers were derailed in the Soulard neighborhood Tuesday morning.
Multiple tankers fell off a train, falling sideways Tuesday morning at around 6:30 a.m., with the derailment beginning at about Miller Street and stretching just past Rutgers Street.

A Union Pacific employee tells KMOX most of the tankers were empty, with the two of the tankers, both in the back, contained materials that were non-hazardous, and do not pose a risk to the area.
No word yet on what led to the derailment but the cause is under investigation.
The train that was pulling the tankers was pulled away from the rest of the tankers.
