MILLSTADT, Ill. (KMOX) - Emergency crews responded to a field in the Metro East after a plane had to make an emergency while on its way to St. Louis Downtown Airport.

KMOX traffic reporter Rodger Brand says there are no reports of injuries on the aircraft. It experienced engine problems and had to land in a field along Imbs Station Road, just west of Route 163 Tuesday morning.
St. Louis Downtown Airport is located at 6100 Archview Dr. in Cahokia, Illinois. The field where the plane landed was a couple miles from the airport.
