St. Louis County Council held a special meeting Tuesday to talk about a proposed ordinance that would make it illegal for anyone working for the County to engage in sexual activity on County property.
Councilman Tim Fitch said there's still a lot of work to do.
"We did ask the councilors office for several legal opinions, and hopefully I'll get that back before next week and be able to prepare a sub-bill for us to look at next week," he said.
Fitch said he doesn't want jail time to be in the ordinance, but insists that officials and political appointees be held to the same level of discipline as merit employees. The bill follows the resignation of the County Executive's Chief of Staff, Calvin Harris, after a recording was leaked of him having sex in his office.
