ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A pickup truck crashed into one of the St. Louis' most famous dessert spots on Tuesday night – before Ted Drewes was set to reopen for the year the next morning.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. at the Chippewa Street location in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood. The east side of the building appears to have moderate damage, and it's unclear if the driver was injured.

There was also another car that crashed into Donut Drive, which is located less than a mile down the street, according to Alexis Zootoz of KMOV.

Ted Drewes announced last night it would be reopening for the year at 11 a.m. Wednesday. It's unclear if the crash will change that.

But many on social were sure excited about news of the opening:

Polly Clarke: YASSSSSSSSSS

Donna Statler: Can’t wait for my first Cardinal Sin of the year

Kimberly Politte Goulet: You picked the coldest week of the winter to reopen! Never too cold for Ted Drewes tho.
