
The Racial Profiling Advisory Board of Wichita will hold a public meeting Thursday evening to discuss recommendations for law enforcement and local leaders in order to create change in the community.
The group, dedicated to strengthening relationships with city officials and law enforcement says there needs to be change in the community.
"Everybody is going to bring something important to the table, that someone else many not have thought of," said board member Juanita Ridge.
KSN News reports that from those suggestions, specific recommendations will be presented to the police chief, mayor, city council and Sedgwick County commissioners.
The meeting is Thursday night, (6/18), at 6:30 p.m. in the Urban Prep Academy Gym, in the 2800 block of east 24th street, near 24th and Hillside.
Medical masks are recommended, and social distancing seating will be available.
