Former Sedgwick County District Attorney Nola Foulston announced Monday she is a candidate for the Kansas Senate's 30th District. The seat is currently held by Senate President Susan Wagle.
Foulston served six terms as district attorney, and has worked in the private sector since 2013. During her career as district attorney she led her department in the prosecution of serial killer Dennis Rader and the Carr brothers.
Foulston in a news release said that her legislative priorities include investments in education, access to affordable health care and making changes to the state's tax structure.
