The Kansas Association of Broadcasters announced Wednesday the 2020 Large Market Radio winners of Best Newscast, Best Sportscast, and Best Station Website all went to KNSS Radio. “While KNSS has won numerous KAB awards in the past we never take winning for granted based on the high level of competition across the state. We’re very pleased with this special recognition for our team," said Tony Duesing, KNSS Brand Manager. Best Newscast was given for a morning show newscast that early-on focused on this year's covid pandemic. That newscast was produced by Steve McIntosh, Ted Woodward, and Jad Chambers.
Best Sportscast was given to a February sportscast from Ted Woodward where KNSS highlighted the recent Super Bowl win for KC Chiefs.
Best Website went to KNSSradio.com. The website is so popular that its streaming alone has more listeners than many other radio stations have listeners in Wichita.
