Sedgwick County Commissioners heard great news about the county's finances Tuesday. Brent Shelton, Tax System Director, said the county was in sound financial condition. He points to several factors, including the county's AAA credit rating, which was reaffirmed at the end of October 2019.
Shelton reports that revenues continue to grow, including those in retail and motor vehicle taxes. He notes the demand for diverse but connected services have increased, such as public safety system needs within the Sheriff's office and for behavioral health.
